CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability
This qualification reflects the role of workers in a range of settings who provide person centred support to people with disabilities in a manner that achieves independence, self-reliance, wellbeing and community participation. Workers in this role will be required to work without direct supervision and may be required to supervise and/or coordinate a small team.

Qualification information
To successfully complete this qualification students must complete the 14 units of competency and a mandatory 120 hour work placement.

Course prerequisites and requirements
Prerequisite:
- Current influenza vaccination
Requirements:
- National police check (must cover working with vulnerable people)
- Working with children blue card
- comprehend, communicate and complete assessment tasks in English
- Have the ability to complete manual tasks including bending, pushing, pulling, lifting.

Enrolling students must be existing workers in the Disability sector, which includes parents and unpaid carers of NDIS participants, and hold the Certificate III in Individual Support or its superseded qualification to access funding for this qualification.
