Description

This qualification reflects the role of entry level community services workers who support individuals through the provision of person-centred services.

Work may include day-to-day support of individuals in community settings or support the implementation of specific community-based programs.

CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services consists of 12 units of competency mad up of 5 core units and 7 elective units. This qualification includes a mandatory 120 hour work placement.

  • CHCDIS007 Facilitate the empowerment of people with a disability
  • CHCCCS023 Support independence and well being
  • CHCADV001 Facilitate the interest and rights of clients

Elective units have been selected by HANMAC on the basis of consultation with industry. Elective units that are not included in the elective section of this page are available by negotiation. Elective units must meet the packaging rules within CHC32015 before being considered for inclusion.

Support

Students enrolling in this course will be provided support by phone and email as required. Face to face meetings can be arranged by appointment.
Students requiring higher level support then what can be provide will be referred to external support services.

Funding

The Certificate 3 Guarantee program, funded by the Queensland Government, may be available for Queensland based students enrolling into this qualification. Eligibility criteria applies. Course Duration

12 weeks. This course is competency based and can be completed in a shorter time frame depending on the students existing skills and knowledge and prior learning.

An extension of this period may be available depending on the students circumstances.
